It's White

“Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways. ”
-Oscar Wilde
Hey everyone,
I am making this post almost after a month. Made this one some two months back and I am glad that i am finally sharing it with you. The most attractive thing about this card is the color white, color that never fades.

How I made it??

The base layer of the card was a white card stock paper onto which i used embossing powder to give the sheet a texture. Then  painted the surface at spots with silver metallic paint. The flowers were handmade using white felt sheet. I attached green felt leaves to each of the flowers. The window silhouette has been covered with twinklet diamond dust. I made the the tag by layering a white piece of card stock on a blue tag and finally painted the edges erratically. The silver plastic twig and the thread were purchased from a craft store.

I finally assembled the layout in this way, as I decided. White always gives me a sense of satisfaction specially when then card looks as pretty as this.
Hope you liked the card!

To Say Thank You

“It is sometimes necessary to use unnecessary words like thank you and please just to make life prettier.”
-E.L. Konigsburg

Hello everyone,
Ever wondered why i always have a quote in the beginning of my posts? Well, each quote is related to the post and the theme the creation is based on. This time i have come up with a Thank You card. So as the theme goes, i have the quote. Last time I was the runner up at the Perfectly Rustics Challenge Blog. Thank You for that. Helped me continue blogging. :)
This card is made for a friend of mine to say "Thank You" for taking me with her on a trip (planned for two days later.)
So, coming to the details of the card.
Material used:

1- Candy pink card stock sheet
2- Printed sheet
3- Pink flowers/ leaves
4- Lace
5- Pink stones
6- Pink polka dot ribbon
All brought from a local craft store.

Beginning with the base, I inked the edges of the card with black ink. Layered a grey patterned sheet after shaping the edges. Then cut out a frame from the black card stock and added it using double sided tape. The flowers were layered to give a little dimension, before gluing the leaves. Once the ribbon was added below the frame, I glued the flowers. Finally added the lace on the left and bottom edges. Added a picture of my friend in the frame and the thank you text.

Hope you like the card. Do share your feedback.

Young Souls

“You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.”
― Michael Pritchard

Hey everyone,
Its like i've been out of blogging for a long time. Yes, I again have been kind of busy with the exams and their results. Though i had been crafting, i didn't get enough time to share the cards with you.
This card is inspired by a vintage look, for which i used a wood textured sheet for the layering and the vintage wooden case wine bottles. The tag on the card goes like "never too old to celebrate".

To add a little liveliness to the card, i used a heart pattern printed sheet visible through the circle cut on the front part of the card. Very simple and easy to make this card.
Hope you liked it.
Thanks for visiting and feel free to share your views and ideas.

The Quote Book

“He wrapped himself in quotations - as a beggar would enfold himself in the purple of Emperors.”
― Rudyard Kipling

Hello Bloggers,
Hope you've had a great time. I again have an excuse for not showing up with a post. Well I had been busy preparing a portfolio for one of  my tests. Though I am not yet done with it, i found some time to write a post.

This little quote book is also one of the pieces I made a while back. Its a miniature form of an album. It contains those pink pages for writing quotes along with pockets for mini tags which could also be used for pasting pictures. The front of the book has been embellished with tiny stones and the shell i used from one of my old key rings. I think that adds the charm. I always try to use things that seem to be useless. You never know if it could add a charm to your creation.

I've realized that my posts are too short. So, I'll make sure to add more pictures and write a tutorial in detail. Thanks for Visiting. Would love to know what you think.

Reasons

“The heart has its reasons which reason knows not.”
-Blaise Pascal

Hey friends,
Ahhhhh! Long time. You guys must have been expecting a post. So, here I am.
Its a pretty little tag I made a while ago. I love the the texture of the background with shades of blue and green and the glittery look. I used a designer paper as the base and then a layer of black sheet to complete the layout. A little more of adding textures and colours to make it attractive, the bright spots. The vertical stripes have been used as tickets, inked edges.

The numbers on the tag to write a few lines is why I named this post as reasons. A few reasons why I found them perfect together. (For a friend of mine who lately told me her amazing love story).
I am not much of a writer, this is why I keep the posts short and simple. But i still hope you like it. Please leave your comments below in case you appreciate it. Its a boost. Have a nice week ahead. Would come up with a new post soon. I promise.
Keep visiting.
